Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science Elementary Teaching degree, students will:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the subject matter to be taught at the elementary level, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Develop effective teaching strategies and methodologies to meet the diverse needs of elementary students including developing a culturally competent classroom environment where diversity of students and families is appreciated and celebrated.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom while integrating technology to engage students and aid in the learning process.
- Implement various assessment tools to evaluate student learning and progress, and use the results to inform instructional decisions.
