Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science Elementary Teaching degree, students will:
  1. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the subject matter to be taught at the elementary level, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  2. Develop effective teaching strategies and methodologies to meet the diverse needs of elementary students including developing a culturally competent classroom environment where diversity of students and families is appreciated and celebrated.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom while integrating technology to engage students and aid in the learning process.
  4. Implement various assessment tools to evaluate student learning and progress, and use the results to inform instructional decisions.
